Blog to live = you rely on your income from your blog to live.
Live to blog = you do whatever you can so you can blog.
These 2 aren’t mutually exclusive and in fact they often seem to go hand in hand. What I most commonly see is people start to blog, and do almost anything they can so that they have the time and money to blog, and then they end up blogging to live. This is what makes blogging the perfect job for these people – if you’re passionate enough about something to make it possible even when times are hard then it might well be the perfect career.

I have a blog, but it’s not supporting me financially yet – and I don’t plan to put all my eggs in that basket, either. I’m using it as a way to (hopefully) connect with my clients – although I am starting to understand that my audience is much broader than I’d thought – so I need to put a bit more “life” into it!

I don’t blog to live or I don’t live to blog. I blog ‘coz I have to. But I love to blog/tweet what’s on my mind.
